FlowLeap + Google Drive
FlowLeap connects with your Drive, accessing customer documents and files, to automate tedious accounting document processing
Works with the tools you already use
How the connection works
Connect
Standard Google OAuth2 against the shared drives and folders you pick. You choose the scope, and you can revoke it from your Google account.
FlowLeap Maps Drive
We read your existing file structures, which client documents sit where, and when do they normally upload them, to trigger a workflow.
File and fetch
Documents are digested and analysed to create workflows. Documents can be read or created in your Google Drive.
What we don't do
- We don't restructure your folders.
- We don't delete files.
- We don't change sharing permissions on anything.
- We don't touch drives you haven't connected.
What it does
Filing what arrives
Does. Names and files client documents into the right client folder and period, whether they came in by email, upload or capture tool.
Watch out for
The same invoice arriving twice from two places, and files named IMG_4471.
Knowing when a client set is complete
Does. Checks what's in the folder against what the ledger expects, and lists what's missing per client.
Watch out for
Clients who send a document you didn't ask for and assume the set is done.
Working papers and packs
Does. Reads the schedules and mapping sheets your team already uses, and writes prepared packs back into the client folder in your own format.
Watch out for
Templates that vary by staff member. We build to one version and you pick it.
Learning your process
Does. Reads the SOPs and screen recordings you upload, and uses them to build the workflow.
Watch out for
Most firms don't have written SOPs. Recording someone doing the job once is usually faster than writing one.
